Why is that we let fear hold us back so often. Its just another emotion like joy, or relaxation, love.
Like any emotion we should explore why we feel that way and then take the necessary actions and decisions of what to do about it.
Too often we let fear be destruction instead of exploring it and learning and moving through it.
I have a huge fear of swings, a strange fear but it’s there. Today I went trapezing and learnt some pretty cool things about this emotion.
1. It influences a whole bunch of physical reactions, you can tremble, perspire, cry and scream.
2. The best thing is it triggers the “fight and flight response.” It is a response from a part of the hypothalamus which releases epinephrine and stimulates nerve cell firing and a series of chemical reactions which prepare our body for this flee to safety mode. This rush sensation will also trigger endorphin release of dopamine (the chemical messenger to the brain that switches on that feeling of satisfaction and enjoyment).
So from fear comes an adrenaline rush followed by a sense of achievement and joy.
Sometimes we have to just close our eyes and TAKE THE LEAP. The feeling after may just be worth it.
I would like to thank Lululemon Athletica for giving me the chance to confront my fears and have an unforgettable exhilarating experience. Everyone involved at The Flying  trapeze centre in Blackburn. https://www.facebook.com/FlyingTrapezeCentre Their instruction, expertise, experience and encouragement helped me so much.
